I learned to create with leather when I was quite young.  My mother, as a 4-H leader, was my instructor and a very good one.  She was passionate about whatever she did and was very determined.  

Years later in California, I met a group of leather-workers producing hand tooled products for sale.  We created a number of original designs delivering numerous original handmade products to retail stores in and around San Francisco.   Two years after I moved to Palo Alto and worked with a sandal maker (he created one incredibly comfortable pair of custom fit sandals).  He liked my design work and we collaborated on designs for leather projects in his mail order catalog.  For years I worked in the Madison, WI area, displaying at art and craft shows and once had a retail store.

 I love creating with leather and discovering new techniques to keep the process fresh and exciting.  We use quality material to produce long lasting attractive pieces.   Each piece is handcrafted by myself and my wife (my grounding and inspiration).
